Home care services

Six services. One plan built around one person.

Every client starts with a free in-home assessment and a written care plan. Most plans combine services, and hours move up or down as needs change.

What we do not do

Non-medical means non-medical

Home Care by Athena is a licensed Home Care Organization, not a home health agency. Our caregivers help with daily living: bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, medication reminders, transportation, housekeeping, supervision and company.

We do not administer medications, provide wound care, give injections or deliver therapy. When a client needs those, we say so and help the family find a home health agency or hospice, and then we work alongside them. Families who understand this distinction make better decisions, so we explain it early.

Questions

Frequently asked

How quickly can care start?

Usually within a few days of the assessment, and often within 24 to 48 hours for post-hospital situations. Call and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Most plans start at three to four hours per visit. We will work out what fits at the assessment.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?

Yes. We provide the documentation carriers require and can help you understand your policy's home care benefit.

Are your caregivers employees?

Yes. Every caregiver is our employee, background checked, registered with the state as a Home Care Aide, trained and insured by us.

Which cities do you serve?

Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis and Auburn, plus nearby Placer County communities. See our service area map.

Ready to talk it through?

A free in-home assessment is the first step. No obligation, and you will meet the person who writes the plan.
